What You Need To Know

Express Your Pet relies on the teamwork between our pet owners and our trained staff to ensure the safe travel of your pet. There are strict rules regarding the acceptance of pets we transport. These rules are in place to protect not only your beloved pet but also our staff and the travelling public. Please refer here to our full Terms and Conditions.

Acceptance

Please ensure you follow these guidelines for your pet's safe travel:

  • Pet must arrive washed and clean
  • Pet should be fit, well and capable of travelling
  • Ensure your pet has been to the toilet
  • Ensure your pet is hydrated
  • Ensure your pet has not eaten a large meal three hours prior to travelling (light meal only)

Key Restrictions

  • Aggressive and overly stressed animals will not be accepted
  • Pit Bull Terriors and any Pit Bull Cross will not be accepted
  • Staffordshire Bull Terriors will not be accepted in plastic containers
  • Kittens and puppies younger than eight weeks will not be accepted
  • Cats and dogs up to the sixth week of pregnancy require a veterinary certificate stating pregancy and fitness for travel
  • Cages will not be accepted if they are dirty or in disrepair
  • AaE reserves the right to refuse the acceptance of any animal
  • Please note not all animals are accepted at all ports

**Please be advised that in the interests of animal safety, Australian air Express strongly recommends customers to use early morning or late afternoon flights in an attempt to avoid the midday heat when sending animals.
