Introducing Parcel Protection
Australian air Express (AaE) has simplified the way we cover your goods, making it easier for you to protect against accidental damage or loss.

*when compared to published rates of competitors – May 2007

No Excess on Claims
Unlike insurance there is no excess on claims. This makes Parcel Protection the smart way to manage the risk on your lower value consignments.

Lowest Rates in the Market
AaE is proud to offer you Parcel Protection at the industry’s lowest* Optional & Automatic rates, keeping you and your accountant happy.

*when compared to published rates of competitors – May 2007

Ease of use
If you do not require Parcel Protection on every parcel (Optional), then it’s as easy as ticking the box on the consignment note to cover goods up to a selected value. For auto protection on every consignment ask about our Automatic cover options.

No Prepayments
Parcel Protection is pay as you go. There is no charge until you despatch your goods.

Why is Parcel Protection needed?
While AaE maintains the highest security and delivery standards, any unforeseen incident can result loss of damage to your goods. Parcel Protection has been designed to cover the risks associated with the transport of goods.

What is covered by Parcel Protection?

Subject to certain exclusions AaE will cover any physical loss or damage that has occurred to the package due to our actions. For more information, see AaE’s Serivce Conditions

For customers who choose Parcel Protection for consignments, AaE will reimburse the sender/receiver up to the lesser of:

  • the nominated level of protection (e.g. $1000)
  • the cost of repair
  • the substantiated value of the goods

Parcel Protection does not protect against normal wear and tear, and it remains the responsibility of the sender to ensure goods are packaged adequately for transit.

What types of Parcel Protection are available?
There are two ways to make sure your goods are covered by our Parcel Protection warranty: Automatic Parcel Protection and Optional Parcel Protection.

Many of our customers prefer to use our Automatic Parcel Protection offer. This is a hassle-free way of ensuring that all consignments on their account are protected to an agreed level.

The alternative is Optional Parcel Protection, which allows customers to choose when to activate Parcel Protection. Just select this option when filling out a Consignment Note, or entering a shipment on the Freightmaster program.

To cover items over $2,000 please call 13 12 13 and ask for our Parcel Protection office.
