The postcode update will occur at the completion of the Freightmaster 2.17 upgrade to all customers.  The expected timeframe is the end of November 2007.

- Why do I have to wait for a Freightmaster 2.17 upgrade to update my postcodes?

Mechanisms have been put in place to improve the way postcode data is imported in the Freightmaster 2.17 release.  Therefore there is a dependency to upgrade all Freightmaster clients before the postcode update can be applied

How will AaE deploy the Freightmaster 2.17 upgrade?

There are three ways in which AaE can deploy the Freightmaster upgrade.  For the majority of customers, the upgrade will be automated when you log into Freightmaster.

For customers that do not have the automated connectivity with AaE (via FTP), AaE will distribute self-installation kits.

In scenarios where there the upgrade is potentially complex, AaE will organise a representative to come on-site and assist in the upgrade installation.

Further communication specific to the method of deployment to your company will be sent within the coming weeks.

Any queries regarding the deployment process, please contact the Freightmaster Service Desk on 1800 153 000.

How will AaE deploy the postcode update?

Again, deployment of the postcode update will be combination of automatic and self-install. The method used for the update is most likely to be the same as what was used for the Freigthmaster 2.17 upgrade process.

Why Upgrade/Update now?

Customer feedback to date had driven planning for the deployment as soon as possible. AaE is in the final stages of vigorous testing of the upgrade release and postcode data, and the first available period for release fell in November 2007.
