Australian air Express (AaE) has created this Privacy Policy and Collection Statement (together referred to as "this Privacy Policy ") in order to demonstrate its firm commitment to privacy.

1. AaE is bound by the Privacy Act and the National Privacy Principles (NPP's).
2. AaE will update this privacy policy as required. If it is changed, the changes will be posted on AaE's Website so that you are always aware of the sort of information collected, how the information may be used, and under what circumstances it may be disclosed by AaE.
3. Please note that if at any time AaE is required by law to release information about you or your organisation, AaE must co-operate fully.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to:

(a) acts or practices of AaE that are directly related to employee records of current or former employees;
(b) Information about companies, individual partners or sole traders acting in a business capacity.

5. AaE collects information about you ("the Information") when you consign freight or engage AaE to supply services, and when you open an account for the payment of freight services.
6. AaE collects the Information to provide you with a specific service. For example, we may use the Information you provide us deliver your freight, to send you accounts, or to send updated rate schedules. If you do not provide the information, it will not be possible to deliver or pick up the freight.
7. AaE also uses the Information to send you information (either by e-mail or post) that you request. If at any time you receive material that you did not request or do not want to receive such material any more, please contact your local port.
8. AaE will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise supply to third parties any personal information obtained from you unless you consent.
9. AaE does release address information to its subcontractor drivers for the purpose of pick up and delivery of freight. Consent for this release may be express or implied, and express consent may be given orally or in writing.
10. AaE allows customers to access the AaE Website for the purpose of perusing proof of delivery which is supplied by way of image of a driver runsheet which contains dates, consignment numbers, addresses, delivery times and receiver signatures. None of this data is personal information
11. AaE does not disclose personal information to third parties other than as set out above.
12. AaE develops aggregate (ie. not individual) reports, which incorporate some of the Information. The reports are for use by our business partners. However, these reports do not include any personally identifiable information.
13. AaE has security measures designed to protect against the loss, misuse and/or alteration of the Information under its control.
14. These security measures consist of:

o Centrally managed Network and Application security policy and access
o Multi layed security accesses for key operating systems and applications, using 128-bit password encryption.
o The internal AaE network is protected against malicious attacks from external networks and hackers by the use of a Firewall.
o Clauses in employee agreements requiring confidentiality

15. In order to access or modify Information that AaE has collected about you, please contact your sales representative or an AaE customer service officer in your local port. AaE will not charge you for responding to such a request, unless we incur costs in providing the information.
